It took Milton until early Saturday morning to lock up its season opening win over Buford. After a two hour weather delay, the No. 9 Eagles beat No. 26 Buford 13-10 in a battle of highly-ranked High School Football America 300 teams. The ended after midnight.
Milton jumped out to a 13-0 lead on a first quarter touchdown run by TJ Lester and a second half touchdown pass from Luke Nickel to CJ Wiley.
Next week, Milton heads to South Florida to square-off with No. 24 American Heritage (Plantation, Florida) in the Broward County National Football Showcase.
