The 2024 North Carolina high school football season kicks-off with an incredible showdown at the top of the High School Football America North Carolina Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football.
Friday night, No. 1 Providence Day, three-time defending North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I state champs, will square-off with reigning NC High School Athletic Association 4A champ Weddington, ranked No. 2 in our preseason statewide rankings. The game is part of the Carolina Panthers‘ Keep Pounding High School Classic at Bank of America Stadium.
The two are also highly-ranked in the HSFA 300 national rankings. Providence Day is No. 65. Weddington is No. 73 in America.

All Top 10 teams in the NC Top 10 are nationally ranked. Add in Crest and their are eleven teams from the Tar Heel State in the HSFA 300.
There’s one other head-to-head matchup in the Top 10, No. 4 Butler takes on No. 10 Rolesville.
There’s a great interstate game between No. 5 Hough and South Carolina’s Northwestern. Hough is ranked No. 193 in our national rankings. Northwestern is ranked No. 137.
