Ocean Lakes is in the market for a new head coach after Chris Scott surprised everyone by resigning to take the head coaching job at Bishop Sullivan in Virginia Beach.
Scott leaves Ocean Lakes after eight years and a 86-10 record. The Dolphins won the school’s first state football title in 2014. Last season, Ocean Lakes spent a quite a bit of time in various national polls, including High School Football America’s rankings. The Dolphins climbed as high as #48 in our poll.
Scott told the Virginia-Pilot — “It’s a great opportunity,” Scott said. “It’s going to bring a lot of attention to Bishop Sullivan, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help build young men through character and faith. I couldn’t imagine this happening, then all of a sudden you have a dream job.”
