On this edition of High School Football America’s 2 Minute Drill, Jeff Fisher talks with Mater Dei (California) freshman quarterback JT Daniels about the incredible start to his career. Halfway through his first varsity season, Daniels has broken current Arizona Cardinals‘ quarterback Matt Barkley‘s freshman records. Barkley was the last freshman to start at the prestigious SoCal program that has a long list of top-flight quarterbacks, including Heisman Trophy winners Matt Leinart and John Huarte.
Also on today’s podcast, St. John Bosco head coach Jason Negro talks about what makes Daniels special.
Friday night, Mater Dei, ranked #11 in the latest High School Football America National Top 25, will host St. John Bosco, ranked #2 in the nation, in a Trinity League showdown.
