Brookwood High School (Georgia) offensive coordinator PJ Katz is helping his longtime friend and fellow coach Chris Fowler in his second battle with cancer.
Katz, who was Fowler’s high school teammate at Brookwood, has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his friend battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Fowler is currently the defensive line coach at Jackson County in Georgia.
Below is what Katz wrote on his GoFundMe page for Chris that is titled Fight With Fowler 2.0.
A few weeks ago, Chris went for a routine check up and the oncologist felt some swollen lymph nodes so she sent him in for some scans. The scan did show his neck area “lighting up”. After a needle biopsy, it was found that the Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is back.
This incredible family is in the fight once again for the second time in less than two years. Dani and Chris are amazing educators who constantly put others before themselves.
But now it’s time – it’s time for us to step up and Fight With Fowl again! Please consider donating to help ease the financial burden cancer causes. Nobody should ever have to face this awful disease alone and this is a way we can show the Fowlers that we are here with them.
Chris, Dani, Waylon, Drake, and Beau – we love you and are here every step of the way. #FightWithFowl
