QB Kyle Oroni of Batavia HS (Illinois) named to scoutSMART High School Football America Preseason Academic All-American Watch List

Kyle Oroni of Batavia High School in Illinois is the first quarterback to be named to the scoutSMART® High School Football America Preseason Academic All-American Watch List. The senior-to-be quarterback owns a 4.38 GPA in the classroom.

In his first year as a starter at QB, Oroni, one of four brothers to play for Batavia High, led the Bulldogs to the Illinois Class 7A state quarterfinals where they lost to eventual state champ Nazareth Academy. He completed 53-percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns. Oroni, who began his career as a defensive back, also ran for 304 yards and four scores.

He has excelled and led in the classroom throughout his 4 years at BHS and will have great options after due to his efforts and focus. One of our 2020 Team captains in football he has done an amazing job of keeping everyone connected to the team during this difficult time. The last in a long line of Oroni brothers to attend and play football at Batavia, he has made many of the programs at Batavia better by being involved!
