Rutgers’ High Point Stadium will host a high school football tripleheader on October 29th, featuring six top teams from the Garden State.
Kicking-off the event will be 2015 Central Jersey Group 5 semifinalist Manalapan taking-on Piscataway. Manalapan will be led by senior-to-be quarterback Luke Corcione, who the team to the sectional semis last year. Piscataway returns running back Elijah Barnwell, who ran for more than 1,700 yards as a junior.
The middle game of the tripleheader will be St. Peter’s Prep taking-on Lincoln. The game may give Rutgers fans a sneak peak of a future Scarlet Knight quarterback. St. Peter’s senior-to-be QB Johnathan Lewis recently gave his verbal commitment to the Scarlet Knights.
The day will close-out with DePaul squaring-off with Pope John XXIII. Defensive tackle Dayin Wade-Perry is one of five New Jersey players in the 2017 ESPN 300.
