After leading Anacortes to the school’s first high school football championship, Travis Anderson is the National Football League‘s Seattle Seahawks‘ High School Coach of the Year. The honor also makes Anderson the team’s Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year nominee.
Below is a snippet about Anderson on the Seahawks’ website:
“Coach Anderson led Anacortes to its first ever appearance in a State Football Championship game, as well as its first ever Northwest Conference Championship, in his first year as head coach. Known for his being fully invested into the success of his players both on and off the field, Coach Anderson embodies what coaches should be: a positive mentor that moves boys to men. And more importantly, there was not one discipline or grade issue in the entire varsity program. Congrats, Coach Anderson!”
