Soldotna‘s championship train continued to chug Saturday with a 57-28 win over North Pole (6-4) in the Alaska Medium School championship game. It was the Stars third straight state title and 29th straight victory, which ties the state record for consecutive victories with East. It’s the third time that Sodotna (9-0) has tied the record. The seven state titles is also an Alaska state record.
The game was never in-doubt with the Stars scoring 30 first quarter points with Brooks Furlong and Ty Fenton both scoring two first quarter TD. Two of the touchdowns came within 15 seconds of each other.
