Souhegan won its sixth overall New Hamsphire high school football championship Saturday. The Sabres beat two-time defending Division II state champ Pelham 14-11 to capture the program’s sixth overall title.

The win avenged Souhegan’s 40-26 regular season loss to Pelham on October 25.

Pelham was actually looking for its fourth straight state title, having won the 2021 Division III state crown.
