The Corona Centennial Huskies will once again be in the national championship conversation in 2024. The Southern California-power has released its schedule with four teams that finished last year in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
CC is coming off a 9-3 season and a No. 16 ranking in the HSFA 300. The Huskies losses came against national champ Mater Dei (California), No. 3 St. John Bosco (California) and No. 5 Bishop Gorman (Nevada).
For the second year in a row, Centennial will open against Mater Dei. Last season, the Monarchs beat the Huskies 28-24.
Centennial will play its second straight Trinity League team, Santa Margarita, in Week 1. Last year, the Eagles finished No. 81 in the nation.
Weeks 2 and 3 find two Utah schools heading to Corona. First, the Huskies will play reigning 5A champ Timpview, which finished No. 156 in the Top 300. Lone Peak is Centennial’s Week 3 opponent.
The team’s non-league schedule closes against Arizona Open Division champ Liberty High School. The Lions were No. 17 in the nation last year.
