The Braves flip-flop with Mater Dei after an impressive 20-7 win over four-time defending Florida state champ St. Thomas Aquinas on national television.
No. 3 Corona Centennial bounced back from its season-opening loss to Mater Dei with a solid 34-21 win over No. 13 Santa Margarita.
2022 Open Division runner-up Serra (San Mateo), ranked No. 8 in our statewide rankings, opened the season with a 21-14 win over Folsom, which climbs from No. 10 to No. 9 despite the loss. This week, Serra plays No. 12 De La Salle.
