The drive for our “mythical” national championship hits the halfway point of the 2019 high school football regular season.
Two-time defending champ Mater Dei (California) is well positioned for a three-peat. The Monarchs, who travel across the country to play No. 33 St. John’s College High School in the nation’s capital, control their own destiny.
If Mater Dei runs the table, which would include at least one, if not two wins over current No. 2 St. John Bosco (California), the Monarchs will once again finish on-top.

However, St. John Bosco has a lot to say about that and they control their own destiny as well, if they can beat Mater Dei during the regular season and then run-the-table, it will be the Braves that will claim their first-ever High School Football America national championship.
