Acadiana, ranked No. 34 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings powered by BlackMP Living Water, edged Alexandria 35-34 to win its second straight Louisiana 5A state football championship.
After Alexandria took a 7-6 lead, the Rams took the lead for good with four minutes to go on a Tyvin Zeno touchdown run a two-point conversion.

The Rams opened-up a 35-21 lead with just over three minutes to go in the game on an Omari Wiggins 35-yard touchdown run.

Acadiana now owns six overall high school football state championships. Alexandria was playing in its first-ever state title game.
