Tri-Center claimed its first state title with a 14-10 win over defending champ West Hancock in the Iowa Class A high school football championship at the UNI-Dome.
“I can’t even put it into words,” Tri-Center head coach Ryan Schroder told IAHSAA.com. “This is a dream come true. It was a hard-fought ballgame, and the way these guys stuck to it was incredible. It’s what this team has been about all season.”
Both teams finish with 12-1 records
