Thursday is here, the eve before our first scrimmage.
The butterflies are there for me. It’s our first dress rehearsal. You know there are going to be things to correct. You want things to run smooth and you want to see some good things. But, no matter what happens, you need to remain measured in your reaction to scrimmage one. This is just the start.
Goals for scrimmage are as follows:
1. Come out healthy.
2. See as many players in action as we can. Evaluation process of entire roster
is extensive.
3. Run our staples so we can make adjustments once we watch the film.
4. Defense flows to the football and we aligned correctly to each formation we see.
5. Let the kids have fun battling against an opponent.
That’s it. Saturday morning will really tell us how we did. The film does not lie.
I’m looking froward to our season opening challenge against the Mustangs from Sweetwater. The blood is pumping!
Olympic Games
Even though NBC has jacked up the coverage of the Olympics, the games have really picked-up and have been fun to watch.
Michael Phelps has been dominant. It is a lot of fun to see him compete. So intense and focused on the task at hand. The women’s gymnastics team was incredible, yet again.
I’m talking about the Olympics, because I hope my team is watching these athletes compete. This is what it’s all about. Competing and pushing yourself to the brink. These Olympians are giving us our monies worth.
I hope my team is taking note and seeing what it takes to be the best!
Attitude, Effort, Conditioning
Ok, Westerners, the time is tomorrow. Show me what you have!
Randomness
–Michael Phelps is just out of this world. Best swimmer to ever live. Period. The end.
–Tyler Trout wore a red shirt to work today. He can’t FIO.
–Neal Tull is at home tonight hyperventilating into a brown paper bag.
-I have a gut feeling that A-Rod will be in a MLB uniform on Sept. 1. Maybe south Florida. He needs to get to 700.
-I never put this in writing before, but now I am. Joe Montana was always the best QB ever, in my opinion. Now, he is number 2. Tom Brady is number 1. It isn’t even up for debate.
-Fisher tweeted a picture tonight of Limeport Stadium. What a great, nostalgic stadium in the Lehigh Valley. Thinking back tonight to the good ole days. Loved being on the diamond.

-I have a meeting tomorrow with Jack Klompus. Going over HOA items and he wants to sell me a Cadillac.
Good night! Tomorrow is scrimmage time!
