Kahuku, Hawaii, is the only new team in the first regular-season Super 25 football rankings.

The defending Division I state champions have started the season 2-0, including a 50-7 defeat of ‘Aiea on Friday as Steven Lombard ran for three touchdowns.

The Red Raiders, who have won 15 games in a row, join the rankings at No. 25. They were voted America’s Best Football program in a fan contest sponsored by USA TODAY High School Sports last January.

The only team to drop out of the Super 25 rankings was previous No. 6 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.), which fell 27-7 to then-No. 8 Booker T. Washington (Miami) in a preseason kickoff game. With the victory, the Tornadoes moved up to No. 6, though since it was a preseason game, their record is still 0-0.

The No. 1 team, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale), cruised in its preseason kickoff game, defeating Dillard (Fort Lauderdale) 51-0 on Friday as Jake Allen threw three touchdown passes.

While there was little movement in the rankings, with only 12 teams playing this past week, this week could be more interesting as the first seven ranked teams all play other Super 25 teams.
