There’s no doubt that Mater Dei quarterback J.T. Daniels is putting together an incredible season. After Friday night’s 30-for-36 performance for 406 yards and five touchdowns against Orange Lutheran, the super sophomore has completed 80.9 percent (161 of 199) of his passes this year.
Friday night’s touchdown passes give Daniels 40 this season, breaking the school record for touchdown passes in a season. Billy Blanton held the previous record with 36, which he set in 1991.
