Three-time defending Class 5A champ West Point is at the top of the first in-season High School Football America Mississippi Top 10. The Green Wave vaulted into the top spot by knocking-off defending 6A champ Horn Lake on the road by a 34-6 score. West Point has now won 43 of its last 44 games.
West Point also charged into the High School Football America 100 national rankings at No. 92. The Green Wave started the season ranked No. 113.

Brandon jumps to No. 2 after knocking-off Starkville, which started No. 1 in the state. The Bulldogs will test that ranking this weekend when they face No. 4 Madison Central.
Starkville falls to No. 3 this week. The Yellow Jackets will look to rebound this weekend against No. 5 Oxford.
