Gonzaga (Washington, DC) begins 2021 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Mid-Atlantic Region Top 25 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels. Nationally, the Eagles are ranked No. 8 in the High School Football America 100.

Gonzaga is one of four teams from the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. DeMatha opens at No. 4, followed by arch-rival Good Counsel at No. 6 and St. John’s College High School at No. 7.

South Carolina’s Dutch Fork checks-in at No. 2. The Silver Foxes will be going for a sixth straight state championship in 2021.

Two-time North Carolina 4AA champ Chambers (formerly Vance High School) is ranked No. 3 in the region, which is made-up of Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina Virginia, Washington, DC and West Virginia.

North Carolina leads the Mid-Atlantic with seven teams in the Top 25, followed by Maryland with 6, South Carolina and Virginia have five teams each and Washington DC has two teams.
