The New York State Sportswriters Association has released its All-State high school football teams for the 2023 season.
Cardinal Hayes junior quarterback Rich Belin is Co-Player of the Year in Class AA. Last year, Belin led the school to the state’s AAA Catholic State Championship and a No. 109 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Berlin shares the award with Boston College-recruit Syair Torrence of Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse.
