24 former Texas high school football players were taken in the 2017 NFL Draft that was held in Philadelphia. That was the fourth most players taken with Georgia leading the way with 29, followed by Florida with 27.
The Lone Star State had four of the top ten picks, including Myles Garrett of Arlington Martin High School, who was taken No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns.
Hebron had a big weekend with two former players being picked. The New York Jets took safety Jamal Adams with the sixth pick. New England took defensive end Deatrich Wise, Jr. with the 131st pick.
