With 50 head-to-head matchups this weekend inside the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football, there was bound to be lots of changes in the latest rankings.

While the top four teams hold their positions from last week, there’s lots of shuffling after that thanks to Blanche Ely’s 35-34 overtime upset win over No. 5 Chaminade-Madonna. The win brings the Tigers into the latest rankings at No. 40, the highest-ever HSFA 300 ranking for Blanche Ely. C-M drops to No. 41.

With No. 25 American Heritage (Plantation, Florida) next up for Chaminade-Madonna, it’s possible that the three-time reigning state champs could start 0-3.

One week after upsetting IMG Academy (Florida), Utah’s Corner Canyon was an upset victim itself. CC was beating by former No. 139 Lone Peak 28-21.

Lone Peak soars to No. 12, while Corner Canyon drops to No. 13 this week. IMG, which will play No. 15 Cocoa (Florida) this week, sits at No. 14.

St. Edward (Ohio) climbs seven spots to No. 7 after knocking-off two-time defending Pennsylvania 6A champ St. Joseph’s Prep. The Hawks drop five spots to No. 22.

Maryland’s Archbishop Spalding continues its climb in the HSFA 300 with a 26-10 win over former No. 20 DeMatha (Maryland). The Cavaliers are up 13 spots this week to No. 17.

Also cracking the Top 25 this week is Venice (Florida) at No. 18. The Indians climb ten spots after an exciting 48-42 win over No. 107 Northwestern (Miami, Florida).

Blanche Ely is one of 21 new entrants into the rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.
