The top three teams from last week’s High School Football America Southeast Region Top 10 high school football rankings, held their spots in the latest rankings, but everything changed between #4 and #10.

Top-ranked Colquitt County can clinch the #1 spot this week, if it wins its second straight Georgia Class AAAAAA championship when it faces #6 Roswell.  If the Packers lose the championship game, that would open the door for several teams to claim the top spot, including #2 IMG Academy and #3 St. Thomas Aquinas from Florida.

IMG’s season ended over a month ago, since it isn’t able to come in the Florida High School Athletic Association playoffs, but St. Thomas Aquinas will face Viera in the state’s 7A championship game this weekend.

Aside from Roswell joining the Top 10 this week, Flanagan (Florida) at #7 and Spanish Fort (Alabama) at #8 are new to the Southeast rankings.

Flanagan will play Osceola for Florida’s 8A title this weekend, while Spanish Fort won Alabama’s 6A title by beating previously nationally-ranked Clay-Chalkville over the weekend.
