Archbishop Moeller ascends to No. 1 in Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings

There’s a complete shuffle at the top of the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football.

Archbishop Moeller moves to No. 1 on the heels of former No. 1 St. Edward 31-28 loss to Massillon Washington. The Crusaders improved to 5-0 by opening Greater Catholic League South play with a 20-17 win over No. 10 St. Xavier. This week, Big Moe travels to No. 18 La Salle.

Massillon Washington’s big win moves the Tigers from No. 7 to No. 4. St. Ed tumbles from No. 1 to No. 5.

Falling-in behind Moeller is Archbishop Hoban at No. 2 and Springfield at No. 3.

This week, Hoban will take-on No. 25 Walsh Jesuit.

Elder is up a notch to No. 9 after beating defending Kentucky 6A champ St. Xavier. This week, the Panthers will square-off with St. X in GCL South play.

There are three new faces in the Top 25 this week.

Lincoln (Gahanna) breaks-in at No. 14 after knocking-off Pickerington Central 22-20. PC drops from No. 14 to No. 15.

Springboro enters at No. 17. The Panthers beat former No. 16 Fairmont 21-19. Fairmont drops to No. 21 this week.

Fairfield is the third new entrant at No. 22.
