Chambers Academy is now an Alabama Independent School Association Class AAA state high school football champ. Thursday, the Rebels beat Bessemer Academy 45-21 at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

Chambers, after losing its opener, ripped off twelve straight wins.

The AA championship goes to South Choctaw with a 14-7 win over Lowndes, which was looking for its fourth straight state championship. The win also snaps Lowndes’ 30-game win streak.

Cornerstone Christian won its second straight AISA Class A 8-man state title with a 52-12 win over Macon-East Montgomery. CC quarterback Zeke Adams ran for seven touchdowns, including one for 96-yards.
