There are two big showdowns this week in the High School Football America Alabama Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Both games are in the 7A quarterfinals.
Top-ranked Auburn hosts No. 5 Thompson. It’s a rematch of the 2022 state championship game won by Thompson 49-24. That win gave the Warriors their fourth straight state title.

On the other side of the 7A bracket No. 4 Hoover and No. 6 Opelika. Hoover has won five in a row since losing to No. 7 Parker 14-10.
