For the second straight week, Southern California high school football heavyweights will go toe-to-toe in a 7-on-7 passing tournament. Saturday, Mission Viejo High School will host a 16-team field that includes six teams in the High School Football America Preseason 100.
The host Diablos, who are ranked No. 29 in our Preseason 100, are coming-off a second place finish last weekend at the Battle at the Beach at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California. MV lost to Mater Dei in the championship game. The Monarchs, who are ranked No. 1 in our Preseason 100, will be at the 24th annual South County Passing Tournament and Lineman Competition along with preseason No. 4 St. John Bosco, No. 40 Corona Centennial, No. 42 Orange Lutheran and No. 76 Narbonne.
Also in the field are: Aquinas, Carlsbad, Culver City, Diamond Ranch, El Dorado, La Serna, Long Beach Poly, Olympus, Silverado and Tustin.
