Battle at the Beach IV kicks-off high school football in New Jersey

The 2024 New Jersey kicks-off this weekend with a huge 14-game three-day event known as the Battle at the Beach in South Jersey. The event is run by the West Jersey Football League Coaches Association.

Taking centerstage will be the Thursday night game between three-time New Jersey Non-Public A champ Bergen Catholic and national power IMG Academy (Florida) at Ocean City’s Carey Stadium. IMG, which was upset by Utah’s Corner Canyon last week, is ranked No. 10 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football. BC enters its season opener ranked No. 11 in the country.

Making the game even bigger is Bill Belichick will be at the game. Wednesday, the GOAT attended the IMG practice.
