We’re heading for the 2020 Utah high school state semifinals in 6A, 5A and 4A and the state championships in 3A and 2A.
In 6A, East’s 35-18 defeat of former No. 4 American Fork moves the Leopards from No. 7 to No. 5 this year. Coming-up, East will face top-ranked and two-time defending state champ Corner Canyon. In the other 6A semi, No. 2 Lone Peak will take-on No. 3 Skyridge for the right to go to the title game.
Timpview re-enters the statewide rankings at No. 9. The Thunderbirds will play Salem Hills this weekend in the 5A semis. After an 0-3 start (losses to Lone Peak, American Fork and Bingham), Timpview is 6-1.
