It only took Nate Oishi three years to take Lake Mead Christian Academy from a struggling football program to a Nevada high school football champ. The Eagles won last year’s Class 2A state championship by beating Pershing County 49-6 at Allegiant Stadium, home of the National Football League‘s Las Vegas Raiders.
Oishi, who played collegiately at University of Nevada Las Vegas, turned LMCA around with a little help from his friends, former teammates at UNLV.
Push the “Play Button” below to listen to Coach Oishi talk about how a bunch of former Rebels won a state title, so quickly, and his freshman quarterback Jerry Meyer, who set a state record with 58 touchdown passes last season.
