For the first time since 2018, a team other than Cherry Creek, coached by former NFL receiver Dave Logan, sits at the top of the High School Football America Colorado Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football.
5A champ Columbine finishes the year ranked No. 1 in our statewide high school football rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm. The Rebels snapped CC’s run of four straight championships by beating the Bruins 28-21 in the state title game.
Cherry Creek finishes No. 2. It’s the first time since September 19, 2019 that the Bruins aren’t the top-ranked team in the state.
Ralston Valley finishes No. 3, followed by Pine Creek at No. 4, Chatfield at No. 5, Arapahoe at No. 6, Regis Jesuit at No. 7, 4A champ Erie at No. 8, Legend at No. 9 and Valor Christian at No. 10.
On the national scene, Columbine ended 2023 ranked No. 258 in the HSFA 300. Cherry Creek ends No. 260 in the nation after climbing as high as No. 95 in late November.
