Three-time defending state champ Corner Canyon and four-time defending state champ Orem proved they are worry of the state and national rankings.
Top-ranked Corner Canyon opened 2021 with a 72-21 rout of Farmington. The Chargers, who are ranked No. 27 in the High School Football America 100 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.

No. 2 Orem picked-up a 27-14 win over No. 8 East. Orem, ranked No. 100 in the Top 100, was led by Chase Tuatagaloa, who connected with Roger Saleapaga for two touchdowns.
East, which dropped from 6A to 5A this year will face top-ranked Corner Canyon this weekend.
No. 3 Lone Peak opened with a 44-31 win over No. 9 Timpview. This week, the Knights will host California’s Bishop Alemany, which is ranked in the High School Football America 300. LP is ranked No. 104 in our preseason national rankings.
Like Lone Peak, No. 6 Bingham will be hosting an out-of-state opponent. The Miners will be playing Nevada’s Bishop Manogue.
New to the Top 10 this week is Brighton at No. 10. The Bengals opened with a 49-24 win over former No. 10 Pleasant Grove.
