For the second straight year, Davidson Academy beat USJ for Tennessee’s Division II-A state championship. Thursday’s 53-35 win gives the Bears their third straight state championship.
Running back Griffin Swinea won the game’s MVP with 26 carries for 284 yards and four touchdowns.

Davidson Academy, which will move-up to Division II-AA next year, finishes 2020 with a perfect 13-0 record. The state title is the sixth overall for the Bears.
