De Smet is the No. 1 team in Missouri as we start the 2021 high school football season. After a season-opening win over Edwardsville (Illinois), the Spartans will face another school from the Land of Lincoln to try to keep its spot at the head of the High School Football America Missouri Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football.
De Smet will face East St. Louis in an interstate battle between teams that are in our national rankings. The Spartans are ranked No. 113 in the nation. ESL is currently ranked No. 103 after opening with a 48-44 win over Christian Brothers, the No. 2 in our statewide rankings.
CBC is currently ranked No. 115 in America.
Preseason No. 4 Webb City lost 41-40 to Joplin last week, which puts the Cardinals at No. 5 this week. Joplin is ranked No. 4.
