Andy Lowry, who led Columbine to its sixth high school football championship in December, is the 2023 Denver Broncos Coach of the Year. In addition to the state title, which landed the Rebels at No. 258 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, Lowry won his 300th career game in 2023.
Lowry is now a finalist for the prestigious Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award.
The Shula Award salutes high school coaches for their character and integrity, leadership, dedication to the community, commitment to player health and safety and on-field success.
Next month, the National Football League will choose two winners, one from the AFC and one from the NFC, from the 32 team honorees.
