After a successful eight year run at Edgewater in Florida, Cameron Duke is the new head football coach at Marietta High in suburban Atlanta.
Duke took over Edgewater in 2017 after the school’s previous team finished 0-10. He leaves the school with a record of 85-14 with two state championship appearances and multiple appearances in High School Football America’s national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Last season, Duke led the Eagles to a 10-2 record and a No. 128 ranking in the HSFA 300. The program’s highest finish in our national rankigns was No. 27 in 2022.
Marietta is just five years removed from winning Georgia’s 7A state championship in 2019 under Richard Morgan. The Blue Devils have struggled since then, finishing the last three seasons with losing records, including a 2-8 record in 2024. Morgan’s record in nine seasons was 42-64.
“My family and I are thrilled to join the Marietta community,” Duke said in a release. “I’m honored to lead this storied program and I am committed to fostering excellence both on and off the field. Together, we’ll work to continue the proud legacy of Marietta football.”
Below is a letter to his Edgewater program that was released on X (formerly Twitter).
Prior to his time at Edgewater, Duke was the head coach at Lake Highland Prep in Florida. His lifetime record is 99-31.
