At the 2019 Georgia high school football championships, the Atlanta Falcons and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation announced a grant to help girls’ flag football become a sanctioned sport in the Peach State. Thursday afternoon, the growth of the sport was on display as three state championship games were played at Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium.

The 7A championship goes to Hillgrove. The Lady Hawks beat Marietta 20-6 behind Lauren Render’s two touchdowns.
