Gordon is now a back-to-back Texas 1A 6-Man Division I high school football champ. Wednesday, at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the Longhorns beat Whiteface 70-24 to win their second straight state title. Stryker Reed scored on a 45-yard touchdown run in the third quarter giving them their twelfth 45-point mercy rule win in 2024.
Defensively, this Gordon (15-0) team is now the best in Texas 6-man history, only 108 points. That’s an average of 7.2 points allowed per game.
Of those 108 points, 60 points came in the state semifinal game against Abbott (Win 77-36) and Wednesday’s final game. Overall, the Longhorns defense pitched seven shutouts this season.
