2014 could be a special year for the Hart (Newhall, CA) Indians, thanks to the QB-WR combo of Brady White and Trent Irwin. Last season, Hart won the CIF-SS Northern Division before losing to eventual Division II state champ Chaminade in the state semifinals.
Most everyone knows about White, who will be competing at this week’s Elite 11 quarterback competition. White, who has given his verbal to Arizona St., passed for over 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns last year. He only threw 18 interceptions in 524 attemps.
White’s numbers wouldn’t be possible without a 4-star pass catcher like Irwin. Last year, the 6-2, 190-pound wide receiver grabbed 76 balls, according to MaxPreps.com, for 1,456 yards and 19 touchdowns. Irwin, who will compete at The Opening 2014 next week, averaged nearly 20 yards per catch.

With White and Irwin, Hart could improve on last year’s 12-3 mark.
