Time to decide who’s the best in California, at least for this weekend.
Top-ranked Mater Dei squares-off with No. 3 St. John Bosco Friday night for Trinity League bragging rights and the top spot in the High School Football America California Top 25.
The southern part of the state still dominates the rankings with eighteen of the teams hailing from the bottom part of the state.
Upland is the biggest mover this week with a twelve spot jump from No. 24 to No. 12 with its big 30-23 win over former No. 10 Rancho Cucamonga, which falls four spots to No. 14.
Aside from Mater Dei and Bosco, the other Top 25 match-ups are: No. 10 JSerra vs. No. 16 Orange Lutheran and No. 17 Servite taking-on No. 20 Santa Margarita.
The only addition to the rankings this week is Fresno’s Central, which breaks-in at No. 24.
