The Michigan high school football playoffs are back after a nearly two month long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic AND so is the High School Football America Michigan Top 10.
The top three teams in the statewide rankings all picked up intra-Top 10 victories in the the state quarterfinals. Top-ranked Davison handed former No. 6 Detroit Catholic Central its first loss of the season, while No. 3 Belleville beat previously unbeaten Cass Tech, which entered the game No. 4 in the state. No. 2 Mona Shores, the state’s defending Division 2 champs, handed former No. 8 East Lansing its first loss of the season.
Coming-up in next week’s 11-man state semifinals, defending Division 1 champ Davison faces Rockford, while Belleville takes-on No. 6 West Bloomfield. In another Top 10 head-to-head, No. 5 Muskegon meets Top 10 newcomer DeWitt, which breaks-in at No. 10.
