Illinois limits contact in practices

Illinois High School AssociationThe Illinois High School Association has approved a limit on contact during high school practices.

Football teams will be limited to 90 minutes of full-contact practice spread out over a maximum of three days each week.  The limit that was approved on Monday takes effect each August on the Monday preceding the first game.

The IHSA approved a second change that limits full-contact drills to one practice during preseason two-a-days.
