Kentucky moves its high school football regular season back by almost a month

Add Kentucky to the list of states that will be starting the 2020 high school football regular season later than planned. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association voted Tuesday to delay regular season games until September 11. The original start date for the season was August 21.

The KHSAA will now allow practices to start August 24. The Kentucky high school football championships will be December 11-12.

Kentucky becomes the 23rd state to officially move back the start of the season.
