Ryan is up to No. 7 after knocking-off crosstown rival Guyer 23-20 and DeSoto moves to No. 9 after an impressive 37-0 shutout of former No. 17 Judson. The Eagles will test their new Top 10 ranking against No. 13 Prosper this weekend.
Briddgeland breaks into the Top 25 after beating former No. 7 and defending state champ Shadow Creek 27-21, which was playing without star QB Kyron Dones. The Baylor-recruit was held-out of the game as a “precautionary” measure after he was injured in the season opening loss to No. 1 North Shore.
Now looking ahead…
The biggest game in the nation will take place in Duncanville this Saturday when national power IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) comes to town to take-on the Duncanville Panthers, ranked No. 3 in the statewide rankings this week.
Aside from the DeSoto/Prosper game, there’s two other head-to-head Top 25 matchups this weekend — No. 2 Southlake Carroll plays No. 10 Rockwall and No. 6 Allen goes against No. 17 Cedar Hill.
