After building Niceville into a regular in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, over the last several years, Grant Thompson is stepping down as head coach of the program. He made the announcement on his X account:

In six years as Niceville’s head coach, Thompson was 64-10. This past season, the Eagles advanced to the Florida 5A state semifinals where they lost in triple-overtime to Lakeland

Niceville finished No. 169 in the HSFA 300 with a 12-2 record.
