For the first time since 2021, Iona Prep is the New York Catholic State Champ in New York. Saturday, the Gaels, ranked No. 138 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat Canisius 42-26 to win the state championship.

Julian Guzman threw three touchdown passes. Crew Davis ran for three scores.
