The drive for nine continued Friday night for Bishop Gorman, ranked No. 14 in the High School Football America Top 100. The Gaels, who have won eight straight Nevada high school football state championships, beat No. 64 Liberty 35-13. The game was a lot closer than last year’s 4A championship game between that saw Gorman destroy the Patriots 84-8.
UCLA-recruit Dorian Thompson-Robinson led the way for Gorman by connecting on 20-of-24 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns.
Next week, the Gaels will play Reed for the state championship.
