Two of the most decorated Florida high school football teams will try to grab another gold medal Thursday night when they square-off in the state’s Class 5A championship game.
STA, ranked No. 26 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, is looking to add to its state record five straight state titles at FIU’s South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium. A Raiders win would give the school its 16th overall title, the most in the state.
No. 13 Lakeland won theĀ last two Class 4S state titles. The Dreadnaughts own nine state championships, the most for a public school.
