Bingham wrapped-up a perfect 2017 season by winning the state’s first-ever 6A state football championship. The Miners, ranked No. 17 in the High School Football America Top 100, beat No. 31 East 27-14. It was the second time this season that Bingham had beaten the two-time defending 4A champs.

East jumped-out to the early 7-0 lead in this one, but it was all Bingham from there.
Utah added the 6A classification this season. Bingham won the 5A title in 2016.
